After successful stints working for Issey Miyake and Oswald Boateng in London, Therese Rawsthorne returned to her native Australia to launch her own label in 2005. Rawsthorne’s design aesthetic guarantees infinitely wearable modern classics, she explains, “I love these pieces because they are really fresh and cool but you could still run for the bus in them.”

For her collection of intricately tailored pieces Rawsthorne uses a muted palette with highlight colours. “The light in Australia is so different and much stronger than in the northern hemisphere. It bleaches everything out. The only really rich colour I remember from growing up was rain drops falling on red dust.”
